We are back from the happiest place on earth!
We've been planning this vacation for a while and everything was simply perfect.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and stories! (There is photo overload, and lots of details which is mainly for our memory and for the family-- but hope you all enjoy too!)
Leading up to the big trip we did a daily countdown on the fridge.
Reagan loved taking off the number each night and counting down.
The night before we left we had dinner with my family and then came back to the house to pack and get ready. We also had a pretty awesome moment for Reagan---- my phone rang and Buzz and Woody were calling him to tell him they are excited for his visit to Disneyland. How cool is that? I wish I had filmed it! Oh well. Just trust me- his face was priceless!
Saturday morning we got up and left the house at around 7am. We stopped for some Dunkin Doughnuts and made the drive to California. We watched a TON of disney dvds, colored, read, and yep- DID NOT NAP! Yikes, this would make for a very tired Rea Rea.
We arrived in Cali and stopped immediately at Target to pick up some groceries to keep in the room. We planned on eating at the parks only 1x a day. We then drove to the Disneyland Hotel. It was so convienent and so nice!
As we were checking in we saw Pluto and Goofy. Reagan was soooo giddy. So I was I. Nerd alert.
Reagan and I headed up to explore the room while Nick went to the car to make multiple trips in unloading. We packed quite a bit! Ooops! Here are some pictures of our room.
The headboard had fireworks that lit up. It was beautiful. When you came back to the hotel at night (after spending your day at Disney) the housekeeping staff would have your bed turned down and the fireworks lit up, with the firework music playing on the tv. So cute.
Since it was Reagan's first trip to Disneyland they gave him this button and an autograph from Goofy.
We changed clothes, freshened up, and then headed to Disneyland.
Needless to say, Reagan was more than a little tired!
Here are some pictures from walking into Disneyland.
Everything was fall/Halloween decorated. So neat!
First family photo in Disneyland!
Wow, they even had a marching band to greet us! ;)
Once we explored Main Street we headed towards Adventure Land.
Reagan's first ride was The Jungle Cruise. He loved the animals.
After the Jungle Cruise we walked through Tarzan's Treehouse.
We grabbed some dinner at the Stage Coach Door and people watched. We had corn dogs and chicken strips and Reagan had his first ever chocolate milk. He thought it was heaven! Duh!
After dinner we grabbed some seats and waited for the Mickey' Soundsational Parade.
Killing time by playing with his cars.
He loved watching the lights and characters. He kept yelling "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!" It was so special to just watch my little guy's face!!
Below are a couple of videos of Reagan from the parade!
After the parade we did Buzz Astroblaster Ride. Buzz is a HUGE hero in our house.
So we knew this was a must-do!
After the Buzz Lightyear ride, Reagan kept saying "Rea Rea help Buzz, Rea Rea help Buzz!"
Such a hit! We then walked over to the Tikki Room (which I can honestly say I've never done before). Reagan enjoyed watching the birds sing... but afterwards we decided it was time to go back to the hotel for bed! It had been a busy and long day.
And that was just day 1!
I post about days 2, 3, and 4 later!
