Home Tour- Kitchen Edition

It's time again for Lindsey's home tour! This week she asked us to show off our kitchens.

My kitchen isn't very big but it's perfect for us.

Here is a look from the living room into the dining area/kitchen.

Our kitchen, dining, and living room is basically one giant space.

This kitchen table is hardly used. It is mainly a catcha all for our stuff. I think down the road we will turn this into a office/workspace. We tend to just eat at the dining room table (from the first pic above).

I am like an old lady and love little rooster accents in my kitchen. We have a daddy, mommy, and baby on top of the fridge. (We have another matching baby hidden away for when baby #2 comes along! hehe) My other fave thing about these birds? When Reagan sees them he yells "Cock!!!" I die.

Here is looking out the kitchen towards the living room.
Here is our dishwasher covered with child things... It's a good distraction for Reagan when we are cooking and such , but darn annoying when you run into it while doing something and the stupid farm won't stop mooing and oinking! There is also a picture of my niece and nephew down low for Rea Rea to talk to.
Last but not least there is our family fish "Memo". All fish are now Nemo according to Reagan.

Weekly Home Tour

This week for the home tour, Lindsey at The Bargain Blonde is asking us to spotlight our guest rooms and /or dens. We don't have any guest rooms, but we do have a den. It is a hot mess, let me tell you. It is definately the room that we throw things in. And it's not too decorated because it will most likely turn into the new playroom when the currently playroom turns into a new baby's room. Caught all that?

So without further ado....

Holy - stuff!

There is my nerdy teacher cart...yes I'm one of those! And a random tv just chillin on the floor. I told you- hot. mess!

This bookshelf has my crafty stuff and Reagan's videos.

This bookshelf has Nick's dvds. Thank goodness his obsession has stopped. I have now convinced him we do NOT need to buy every single movie. Renting is perfectly acceptable!

Here is the den window...and Rea Rea playing with the baby stuff.

I found the perfect display...errr..hiding spot for some of Nick's football crap. During football season these little helmets are displayed in the living room for each game.. Like each game, he matches up the helmets. Kill me.

This is looking into the den from the living room/front entrance. I love these doors! Clearly Reagan does too- notice the fingerprints?

Oh , and here is the desk, file cabinets, etc.

We hardly use it as a den- so I think it will be a perfect playroom. We can watch the kiddos playing from the main part of the house. But we've got time for that! :)

This week's home tour...

The living room is where we hang out 99 % of the time. I wish I could say that the TV is never on... but it's always on. Reagan dominates this tv. His little Pottery Barn chair sits right up front and this is where you can often find him. (It's looking pretty worn! He's had it for 2 years... my mom has been meaning to order him the bigger chair- we'll see!) This picture was taken in the morning so the toys are still contained in the playroom or in the toy basket. By afternoon this place is covered with Reagan's toys.

Week 2- Home Tour

Today I am linking up with the sweet Lindsey for her weekly home tour.

This week we are spotlighting our bedrooms.

Just like last week, I will start with my room and then Reagan's. So, here goes.....

Just a little warning... our room still needs a lot of work- looking at these pics especially!

one day we will get a nice, big bed... but for now this is what we have. I do love our linens... I think they are from Kohls. (Notice the white pillow cases on the bottom? Nick is obsessed with his ooooolllllddd pillow and cases from forever ago. It's all he will sleep on.

And that crate next to the bed.... thats for Lily, our little dog. She starts the night in bed with me but Nick eventually puts her away for the night.

I do love this shelf above our bed. From left to right (a picture from when we got engaged, a Willow Tree hubby and wife, some wedding pictures, our unity candle, and my bouquet, some devotional books, and our little angel Willow Tree for the baby we lost)

On top of Nick's dresser (I guess I didn't take a picture of mine) is the tv and stuff. And looking at that mirror- I think we need to re-position it! I love this sign (but really, I'm a sucker for all signs!). It's the same quote that was in our wedding program.

Here is my night table. You can see what book I'm reading, my Nook, water, tissues (Such a bad cold right now!) , phone and remote. Yes, the last thing I watched in bed last night was RHONJ- kind of a disapointing episode if I may say so myself!)
Now onto Rea Rea's room

The changing table (from Babies R Us). I love it- tons of storage.

Reagan's room theme is Nautical. When I was preggo I had a really hard time choosing his bedding and theme.. I'm not really a character/animal fan... so I found a set I loved at Pottery Barn that was classic and I tied in the nautical theme. I got these letters from Pottery Barn as well as the life preserver with his name on it.

Here is his crib (from Babies R Us- same collection as the changing table). The bedding is the Chase Collection from Pottery Barn Kids. I just realized that the mobile isn't up. We have that too- from the same collection... It has sailboats. Cute. The border on the room is from Babies R Us Nautical collection. I thoguht it fit well.

I love his toy chest. It matches perfectly. It's from Land of Nod.

Here is his glider. It was a Godsend when I was nursing him and doing late night feedings. It's so soft and comfy.This was our first big splurge when we found out we were pregnant!

It's really quite boring! Sorry guys!

Notice the clock? About 3 years ago one of the most difficult students I ever had gave me this as a Christmas gift. I actually really liked it (even though it was very, very difficult to like the kid!) He will forever be remembered...in my bathroom. Behind the door of the shower room I have my insperation board. After I had a miscarraige (before Reagan) I was feeling pretty down in the dumps and decided I needed to think more positively. So I posted some of my favorite quotes, bible verses, and things from magazines. I still add fortune cookie fortunes and little notes here and there. (Yes, Nick has also added a money management paper for me... I get the hint! hehe). It's actually a wonderful thing to look at each morning.

Now to Reagan's bathroom.

I'm excited to look at some of yours! Maybe I will get some decorating ideas!!
