Reagan's Big Boy Room

This weekend we moved Reagan into his new room.
I've had a lot of requests for pictures, so here you go!

Welcome to Reagan's room!

We will start with the bed and go around the room.

Above the bed is a cool canvas I found that matches his "All American" theme perfectly.

To the right of his bed is his night stand and lamp.
We also still have his ultrasound picture framed.
It's hard to imagine he was that small and in my belly.

There is a little wall to the right of his bed with two things hanging.

The first is a piece my MIL Sylvia made when I was pregnant with Reagan.

Here is a bulletin board filled with pictures and memories.
The sides have photos of Reagan with his friends and family and the middle has photos with Reagan and some of the Arizona mascots he has met.

Just to the right of that wall is the window.
Under the window is his toy box.
It is filled with stuffed animals.
This kid has a kazillion stuffed animals.

Directly across from Reagan's bed is his dresser.
Reagan's new room doesn't have a closet (weird, right?) so we needed a large chest of drawers.

On top of the dresser are photos of family.

More photos.

Above the dresser are his life preserver and compass letters.

The door is right next to the dresser.
Behind the door is his signed Ronald Reagan speech and his hat hooks.

Next to Reagan's door is his bookshelf and wall.

If you know Reagan, you know this kid loves his books.
Most of his books are in the playroom, but he has two shelves full in his room.
The top shelf is full of his baby books, scrapbooks, flashcards, and My Baby Can Read stuff.

Next to the bookshelf is Reagan's reading nook.
We got him this precious little rocking chair and book basket to put his books in until I can re-shelve them in the correct spot. Anal? Probably.

Reagan says "Thanks for touring my new big boy room!"

Our Weekend

Sunday night already?
This weekend sure flew by....even though it doesn't feel like I did that much!

Friday Night I went to dinner with friends from work and then headed back to school to attend our Girls on the Run Fashion Show.  You can read more about Girls on the Run here. The girls had a can food drive / fashion show and it was fabulous.  They were able to go to Dillard's the week before and choose outfits for the show and were given confidence and walking tips from a former model. The night of the fashion show was like a dream for these little girls.  They were in clothes they normally wouldn't be able to afford/wear, they were strutting their stuff down the runway, and have a round of applause just for them. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I'm so proud of my teachers who coach these girls and run this program as well as the girls who participate!

Another HUGE deal for our family on Friday night?
Reagan slept in his new room in his new big boy bed!
I think I was more nervous/anxious than he was.

He stayed awake singing for a good 30 minutes after we left him but them he fell asleep and was out until 7 am. This is actually really early for him.  He got up at 7 again this morning too. So we've gotta figure it out- especially since summer vacay is right around the corner. This mama is soooo not getting up at 7 am every morning. Call me spoiled, I don't care. I will get him back into the sleeping-in groove. He hasn't fallen out of the bed and knows to stay in until Nick or I go get him.
Knock on wood.

The rest of the weekend was spent shopping and running all over town trying to finish Reagan's big boy room. We are still working on it- but almost done. I will post pictures soon. I promise!

Reagan tried really hard to be big a big help.
See?

Reagan's obsession lately is being a "dad".
He has babies on the brain and feeds them bottles,  burps, and sings to them.
He has also loved rocking his babies in his new rocking chair.

Love him.

Our Weekend

Friday

Friday night we joined 10 of our friends for a dinner at one of our favorite places, Ajo Als.
One of my sorority sisters, Angie, flew down from Washington for the weekend with her hubby and sweet baby girl.  Reagan loves their little Aubrey. They met earlier this year on their last visit and were reunited on Friday. We got some super cute pics of the kiddos!

And we added my sweet niece Charlotte to the mix.
They dressed alike on purpose, future BFFs, duh!

Saturday

We woke up at 5:00am and left the house by 5:40 to head down to Tempe for the Pat Tillman run. It was my first time doing this race. Yep. Just about 4 months pregnant with twins and I decided to do a race. Nope. We signed up before I was preggo and I'm too cheap to back out. We ended up walking with my family and our friends.  It was a long, hot morning but for a great cause.

Nick, Reagan, and I  before the race.

Reagan entertained us with some dance moves while we waited for our corral to get called.

 Our family!

Sweet baby Charlie was a trooper!

After an hour of waiting, we finally started!

Fast forward to the end of the race!
The end was running into the Arizona State University football field.

Reagan couldn't believe he was allowed to do that!

Racing Daddy across the finish line!

All finished with his first race!

Sunday

Today Reagan stayed with my parents and then my sister and bro in law while Nick and I went bedroom furniture shopping.  We borrowed Nick's Dad's truck and drove around buying stuff for Reagan's big boy room.  We got Reagan his dresser, nightstand and bed!

I will post pictures when the room is finished. Not sure when he will spend the night in his new room/bed. Probably this coming Friday night so we can ease him out of the crib. I'm shocked he has lasted this long in the crib, but the boy loves it!

My Doppelganger

I'm joining up with Raven for her Doppelganger link-up!

First of all. I have to say I have been calling it a "dopplanger" for forever now.
Nick just informed me I was way off.
I like my name better. Dopp-le-gang-er sounds like a Harry Potter character or something.

Okay.
The only person I've ever been told I looked like was Tiffany Amber Theisan.
And that hasn't been for awhile now.
Thoughts?

So I was definitely interested to see who I got.
Are you ready?
