Mothers Day Weekend

Happy Mothers Day!

Saturday

Family photoshoot

All pink attire, crazy grandkids (especially Reagan), gyno-mite photos on our backs (don't ask), wet grass, bright sun. Proofs should be ready in a week. Fingers crossed I don't look like a fool.

Mimi, Papa, and Grandkids

Family brunch

Stuffed myself silly- like really-time to unbutton the pants. Nerf-gun wars. Who knew I was that good? And grandma of the year? Ya, that same sweet woman I wrote a post about yesterday? Well, she shot Reagan in the face. Nice, real nice. :)

Turtle Time

Our fam of 3 packed up from brunch and drove to Nick's mom's house. Reagan gave her a gift for Mothers Day and tried to feed her turtles.... but really just spilled the entire can of turtle food. Lovely.

Sunday

Nick woke me up at 6:30- yes- on Mothers Day. What on God's green earth for? Well, turns out he and Reagan made me french toast for breakfast. Just slightly early boys... don't you know this mamma likes her sleep? After I ate it (half asleep) , I climbed back into bed.

Went to church with my boys and family. Then took my mom out to lunch to Bamboo Club. Reagan was surprisingly well behaved (mothers day gift to me perhaps? I'll take it). I mean- he did roar like a lion at every waiter and table near us, insisted on double fisting the entire meal, but shoot- I got about 22 kisses during that lunch alone. Love. Him.

After lunch we came home and it was nap time. I got a longggg massage (heavenly) , read my Nook, and took a nap. Again- this mamma loves her sleep.

When we woke up it was off to Lakeshore (yes, I know... loose cool points here for shopping at the teacher store on a holiday), but ended up at the Golden Spoon for frozen yogurt. Heavenly.

Such concentration!

Being a mom is definately the hardest thing I have ever done but I love every minute of it. Reagan brings me so much joy and a happiness that I have never felt before.

Happy Mothers Day
