Saturday was a busy and festive day around our house!
Reagan went to the ASU basketball game with my parents and had a great time. There was also a meet and greet with Sparky (the mascot) and he even got to sit on his lap and take some pictures. Can't wait to see the pictures!
While he was there I was cleaning and getting the house ready for my 4th annual cookie party.
We had 14 people this year and the cookies were to.die.for!
I chose a cookie that I actually found on one of these blog linkys a couple of weeks ago (I think it was favorite Christmas recipe on Aly's 12 days of Christmas) and IT WON!
I doubled the recipe because I am in 2 cookie exchanges this year. So I broke it up into 2 nights. The first night I put two packages of Mint Oreo cookies in the food processor. Then I put the crumbles with 16 oz of cream cheese into my blender and mixed. Next I rolled them into balls and chilled them in the fridge.
The second night I melted 2 packages of white almond bark and dipped each ball in it. Last I sprinkled them with holiday sprinkles and chilled them again.
Here are how they turned out for the party.
My cookies usually are an epic FAIL but this year everyone loved them! And they voted them "Best Overall Cookie"! Yippee!
Here are some more pictures from the cookie party:
Then a couple of hours later I went to my school's Staff Christmas Party.
