Our Love Story....

Today I am linking up with sweet Becky for her Valentines link-up.
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Nick and I have been together for 8 years.

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}

Nick and I met Freshman Year at ASU. I knew him from some fraternity parties and also of his not- so-great reputation. I always thought he was cute but also may or may not have been quoted as saying "I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole". I was a good girl and him, not so much. Fast forward 4 years and he was President of his fraternity and I was President of my sorority. We saw a lot of each other at events and such. He was quite persistent and I agreed to go out on a date with him. (Anyone remember that stupid movie about the kids who cheated on their SAT's?) After that, we became inseparable.   It was a rough time because I lost some friends due to dating him and even my sister told my parents he was bad news. But I have to say, bad boys can change.

3. If married, how long have you been married?
Nick and I have been married for almost 6 years!
We will celebrate our anniversary on March 11th.

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We were married in Scottsdale, Arizona. I think the wedding was probably medium sized. We were one of our first friends married and it was pretty soon after graduating so we had a lot of high school and college friends. It's funny how after the years pass I look back at the wedding and laugh at some of the people we invited. It was like a big Pike and Theta date party.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
When were first started dating the "Hello Moto" commercials were everywhere. For some reason we started calling each other "Moto". Who knows why, but it stuck.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1) I love how he is ALWAYS positive and optimistic.

2) I love how continues to teach me things every day.

3) I love how I seem to fit perfectly in his arms.

7. Tell us how he proposed?
He proposed on Easter Sunday at my parents' house.  We all went to church and came home to exchange Easter baskets.  Nick gave me a basket full of eggs. Each egg was numbered so that I would open them in order.  Inside each egg was a note written about why he loved me.  The last egg said to "look under the grass". There it said- "Will you marry me?". It was perfect because my whole family was there- from my baby nephew to my sweet Granddaddy.

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
Nick is more of a flowers and champagne guy for Valentines Day.
We don't go big on Valentines day at all!

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Oh I am definitely a pop a movie in and relax kind of girl. Maybe I used to be more a sunset dinner girl, but the older I get, the more I appreciate just being together.

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
I would love to go back to Hawaii together.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
Not much! After a long day of Valentines day fun in first grade, I'm sure I will be pretty pooped! We will probably just go out to dinner and watch some dvr! We are so exciting, I know.

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
Maybe a card? I don't have high expectations for Valentines day!

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Laugh together. Don't forget why you fell in love with each other. Compromise. Take time out for each other. Say I love you.

14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
I love my boys.
