7 years ago today....

Seven years ago today Nick and I had our first "date". Well, sort of.

It was SuperBowl Sunday and my friend Jessie and I went to the Pike House to "watch" the game but basically hang out with the boys. After the game a bunch of us were standing outside around the fire pit and Nick started holding my hand. He asked if I wanted to go to a movie with him. I of course said yes. The only thing playing that late was "The Perfect Score". We went with his friend Eric and his then gf Lizy. I was sooo nervous. I had butterflies just sitting next to him. After the movie we went back to his house and watched tv.
I can't believe that was 7 years ago. This coming March will be our 5 year wedding anniversary. Time really does fly!
In other news... today was our District's big Writing Test. We have all been soooo stressed/nervous/sick over this test. My first graders were given the prompt "Write a story about if it started raining candy". For the most part my kids did great. They made a lot of improvement fom the first test but I wont know their "real scores" until later on. My class had a l-o-n-g way to go, so I hope these results look good.
